Class Disscussion on Radio

Today in time i just thought of radio as something that plays music while I'm in the car and when i have nothing else to do that plays music. After the lecture we had on radio I found out there was a lot more to radio than what we think today. Radio was actually used for something important; the news! Before it was invented, people would receive their news though the newspaper, but it would be the next day or days later. When radio came along, it was the first form of live media. People were able to here about news AS it was happening, being able to stay updated on what was happening. The first news to be aired live made a huge difference and it was a step forward in technology.
